Figure Skating
Ellenton Ice and Sports complex is the home to one of Florida’s most diverse and successful skating schools.
We offer programs that cater to the youngest beginner, the adult skater, and of course the advanced competitor. Our world class staff of coaches have on and off ice classes that range from Personal Fitness Training, Off Ice Dance, Jump Technique, our Basic Skills Learn to Skate Program and our own special Advanced Freeskate Class. We have a full range of coaches that are all certified and up to date with the latest techniques in order to provide the best education to our skaters.

Our school boasts over a decade of National and International Champions and is continuing to build on past success with a new generation of young skaters ready to carry on our proud tradition of excellence.

Ellenton Ice Figure Skating Rules
1. All skaters must check in and pay for all sessions before going on the ice (this includes freestyle sessions, public skate, all group classes)
2. Lessons are to be paid for at the front desk.
3. Contact your coach directly to change or cancel your private lesson (do not leave a message with the Front Desk).
4. All skaters are to be mindful while on the ice and aware of figure skating patterns, programs and those in lessons. All talking should be done by the boards or off the ice.
5. Skaters may practice figure skating elements on public skate in the center or where there is space and be aware of others on the ice.
6. Those practicing their program with music have the right of way. Those in lessons will have priority of their music being played.
7. Skaters are not to wear headsets or ear buds on any figure skating sessions or public skate.
8. No Virtual Lessons (FaceTime, Zoom, etc).
9. No foul language or destroying rink property. Pick up all your trash.
10. Ellenton Ice Staff coaches are the only ones permitted to use the harness.
11. Clear the ice when the Zamboni is scheduled to come on and collect all belongings off the boards.
12. Parents & Spectators can watch from the bleachers or snack bar area. Please do not block the entrance to the ice or sit in the players boxes.
13. Skaters practicing with props on the ice must be careful and aware of their surroundings while practicing.
14. All Guest Coaches must have approval from the Skating Director before teaching at Ellenton Ice.

*Fee is nonrefundable and covers all ice time, shows, rehearsals, and a group costume to keep.
Weekly Rehearsals
Saturdays: 11:45am-12:15pm – Snowplow, Basic 1-8, & Boys
Thursdays: 6:30pm-7:15pm – Freestyle 1-6 & Teen Skaters
Mondays: 5:30pm-6:30pm – Competiting Pre-Preliminary through Juvenile Freeskate, Intermediate through Senior Freeskate, & Adults
Tech Run
May 26th – 5:45pm
Dress Rehearsal
May 29th – 5:45pm
Show Date
May 30th – 3pm & 6pm
*Skaters will be required to perform in both shows, along with tech run & dress rehearsal
