We follow the regulations set in place by USA Hockey’s American Developmental Model (ADM). Players are divided by age and organized into the following groups:

• Mites: Ages 8 and under
• Squirts: Ages 10 and under
• Peewees: Ages 12 and under
• Bantam: Ages 14 and under
• Midget: Ages 16 and under

• Move down to League Registration
• Click on desired league
• You’ll be prompted to create an account or login
• Print out the printable waiver and fill it out, sign it and hand it in with their USA Hockey on the first night they play
• Choose payment plan or pay in full
• Submit

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

ADM is for Future Hockey Stars. Typically kids are 8 and under and are developing skills to be placed on a Mite team in the coming months. Its a great step from our Hockey Academy on Tuesday and Thursday evenings or the Lightning Made Learn to Play held on Saturday mornings. Our staff loves teaching kids a beginner foundation for the awesome game of hockey!!!

• Mite Rec is for players 8 and under and have either been playing hockey for a little while or have been identified by our staff to come join a team. It’s all about fun, skill development and game awareness at this level and of course scoring goals!!!

Program information:

Squirt/Peewee Rec is for all players who want to have fun in a slightly competitive atmosphere. Practices are shared ice an games are full ice with USA Hockey Certified Referees. Games are on Friday nights and practices are typically on Sundays with an occasional Saturday practice.

Middle School Program

2018 Recreational Hockey League

(9th graders allowed per coaches approval)

Middle School Rec is for players with birth years 2002-2005. The name of the game is fun and skill development in practices and in game settings. USA Hockey Certified Referees officiate the games. The coaches are dedicated and always have the kids interested at heart. Friends for a life time are made in the Ellenton Ice Rec hockey Program!!!
